Always a daring dresser, Lady Gaga has a reputation for sometimes stepping out commando.
But she certainly made the right decision in donning her bra and knickers yesterday as she trotted about New York’s meatpacking district.
Her entirely black lace outfit left almost nothing to the imagination.
Brief encounter: Lady Gaga didn’t leave much to the imagination when she stepped out in New York yesterday
Gaga accessorised her lace dress, which sported an almost mournful hood and cape, with black platform heels and a Coco Chanel leather handbag.
She wore her long platinum blonde hair loose under the hood, and kept much of her face hidden behind large black sunglasses.
Her slender figure however was on full display. She was reportedly on her way to a nearby bar.
The 25-year-old is among the celebrities who have commented on the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
Speaking to MTV, Gaga was effusive in expressing her love for her home city, which featured heavily in her last album, Born This Way.
Taking sandwiches? Gaga’s Coco Chanel handbag looked rather like a leather lunchbox
‘I mean, there’s so many stories that people don’t know,’ she said.
‘I watched the towers fall from the roof of my school, holding all my best friends. I don’t know … just, my affinity and my love and the relationship I have with New York City — it’s like the husband I never married.’
‘I wrote so many songs on this new album [Born This Way] about New York City. I mean, every song on all my albums has some relationship to New York City, but one in particular “Marry the Night,” that record is about my husband, New York.’
Odd posture: Gaga seemed keen that her bag didn’t block the view of the rest of her outfit
